Federico Miró doesn’t rush. He builds his paintings line by line, a slow burn of repetition that mimics embroidery — until the surface of the canvas starts to hum with texture and time. Originally from Málaga, Federico splits his time between Spain and Mexico. His technique pays tribute to the slow art of weaving, using paint to reference textiles and handcraft traditions, without ever falling into nostalgia. It’s contemporary, quiet, and deeply intentional. Federico has exhibited across Europe and the Americas — including ARCO Madrid, ARCO Lisboa, Pinta Miami, and Art Cologne — and has been recognized with awards like the BMW Painting Innovation Prize. At Lola, he presents Untitled, a piece that asks you to look a little longer, and maybe breathe a little slower.
